I was so pleased when I received my new Acase for my Kindle HD 7 earlier than was promised. It is everything it describes itself to be and much more. The case is definitely high quality leather, but what really pleasantly surprised me was the feature (which was not advertised) that my Kindle HD turns on when I open my case and turns off when I close my case. I love this feature. I would highly recommend this product to anyone as it truly deserves its 5 star rating!!!

I didn't want anything that added a lot of bulk to my Kindle Fire. I wanted a quality product, a professional look, and options for standing my Kindle when I'm reading or working. I read a lot of reviews and noticed that this cover also has an opening for charging, while some other covers did not. This also has the nice feature of turning on when you open the cover and going to auto-sleep when closing the case. The light magnet in the case keeps the cover secure and the Kindle fits perfectly inside. Thank you to the other reviewers for helping me select this very well priced cover.

I first bought the Amazon case ($45) but thought it was quite a bit overpriced for what you got. Plus it didn't really stand up that well but instead continually slipped on my desktop and my headphones wouldn't plug in because they didn't leave a large enough cut out for the headphone jack. So I returned it and got this much cheaper case ($15). So far, I really like everything about it.

Pros:

Feels thin and "booklike" when closed

My headphones plug in fine

Magnets hold the flap closed

Auto-on when the flap is open

Two different angles for standing it up (landscape only)

Charging and video out jacks are accessible when closed

Cons:

In my opinion, having cutouts on the case spine are a little funny

Case isn't designed for standing in portrait mode (but I knew that going in)

Great quality item for a great price. It fits my Kindle perfectly. The front cover folds all the way behind the Kindle and locks to make its own stand. This is the 2nd case cover that I have bought under the ACase brand, and both have been well worth the purchase.

So, with a short amount of time the leather starts pulling from the inside material. The stand really doesn't hold very well either. It was a good price but if I am going to have buy another case so soon, perhaps it would have been better if I purchased the nearly $50 Amazon case.

I received this in black as a gift, and I am having to send it back. The problem with the one I received is that it is slightly crooked so that the front flap sits about 1/16th of an inch askew. I can push it and make it look straight, but it goes back crooked within a few seconds. It does close nicely. And the automatic sleep feature works very well. The cut-out also is not uniform, so the camera eye is obviously not in the center of the case. The case seems like a factory "second." For something I am going to handle a lot, I want something that I'm not going to constantly want to straighten, ... like a picture hanging crooked on the wall. I plan to swap it for a replacement.

Since i posted this, I have ordered and looked at two other cases (not this brand), and they are not any nicer looking, although one of them does have a handle that makes holding it easier.

Second revision: This case is very similar to CaseCrown Bold Standby Case (Black) for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 Inch (Built-in magnet for sleep / wake feature) . BUT the CaseCrown case is definitely nicer! Side by side the cases look almost identical, and the cover closes nicely to work the sleep function. The CaseCrown, however, has neat stitching all the way around the inside part that partially covers the bevel, whereas the Acase is cut (slightly crooked) with no stitching. This makes it look kind of cheap. It almost looks like the same case made by the same manufacturer but with slightly different specifications. The difference is in the details. Am changing my rating of the Acase from a 4 star to a 3.

If you think you'll like a simple, professional black-book look, you'll probably prefer the CaseCrown to the Acase. Mine is black, but the burnt orange looks nice, too.
