I was very disappointed with the product. The Leather Portfolio Case I bought through Amazon is supposed to feature an intelligent sleep/wake lid that automatically turns the iPad display on when open and puts it to sleep when closed. When I close the Portfolio Case my iPad DOES NOT turn off (sleep). My brother has the very same product so I put my iPad into his Portfolio Case and sure enough my iPad turns off (sleeps) when I close the Portfolio Case. I would appreciate hearing why my case DOES NOT work as advertised and how do I go about getting a replacement?

I have two of these cases and am very pleased with them. It does what you'd expect. It protects the iPad and provides a handy stand for hands-free use. Without a lot of fiddling around. No clips, latches, velcro-ripping or anything else. Just fold it around and rest the edge in one of three grooves and you're ready to go.

My only complaint about the case is it only allows loading the iPad one way. It requires loading the iPad into it with the 30-pin connector pointing down. This means that connector will be pointing to the right when you tilt the case up into display position. This presents a problem as I'd rather have that connector pointing out the left side to keep the cabling neater on my desk. It would be trivially simple for Dexim to make a slight change to the leather at the edge to accommodate this. But, sadly, most other cases make the exact same mistake! I'm going to have a local leather shop modify mine (along with an extra rear camera hole).

I had purchased one of these for my wife, and liked it so much I decided to buy one for myself. I was unable to find it at a local retailer, so I emailed Dexim, who gave me this link in Amazon. The item I received did not fit my iPad correctly, and came with a defect, that ironically was identified by the factory with a red arrow sticker, yet was still sent to me.

I sent the item back to Dexim for a replacement. I received an email from Dexim indicating that they had received the return, and would contact me "shortly" when the replacement had been sent. I hadn't heard from them, so I rang them up. They state that they no longer make this item, and are not sure when it will be in stock (they are looking elsewhere for one). At that point I asked for a refund, but they started giving me the runaround. Unfortunately, it looks like I will need to get my credit card company involved to resolve the refund issue. Very disappointing.
