The good thing is that the keyboard holding portion is detachable by means of two metal snaps. So while we wait for a working keyboard, that portion is in a drawer. I haven't tried out if the Transformer pad will work with the keyboard attached and still be able to fit in the portfolio case. It is made with PU leather, or split leather, which, if I read right, has a thin piece of actual leather covered with a kind of plastic and embossed. One thing about it, it lived up to it's name of PU leather when I opened the bag for the first time. It certainly had a strong chemical paint like smell to it. It's not really noticeable now, but opening the bag for the first time certainly was an experience with the smell. It's a perfect product, keeps your keyboard and screen vary safe, and looks really professional.
Got this got a friend of mine for Christmas, and he LOVES it :)
