I bought this case as it looked to be a great combination of a smart cover and some back protection, in a lightweight folio style case. It's great, and the new iPad fits in nicely, despite being a bit thicker than the previous model. However, Scosche are now no longer advertising this as a 'new iPad' case, as they say it's no longer 100% compatible with the sleep/wake function on the new iPad. It does seem to put it to sleep but then wakes as the cover moves when you pick it up. You can turn this function off in the settings but if you want this case for it's smart cover then look for something else.

It does what I wanted protects the iPad.

It doesnt' do what would be a nice extra provide a stand for use. While the case folds, I don't find it useful for propping up the iPad while typing.
