  • Surface cover can be folded into triangle shape standing on table, and is perfect for reading, watching, and typing stand

I love this case! It's better than the smart cover from Apple, because

it covers the whole iPad, front and back. And the price is not even

half of it. It fits the iPad 2 so well, and the open to all ports are

precise. The cover works exactly like the smart cover. You can roll it

up into a stand. It's got the same auto sleep/wake feature when you

close and open the cover. The available colors from this seller

matches the smart cover too, although it does not matter much. It's

really light, which is also good since half of the time, the iPad is

used by my 5 year old kid.

Pros:

Inexpensive

Got the same feature as a smart cover

Covers the whole iPad

Cons:

Very difficult to put in and take out, so be prepared to use it most

of the time.

I ordered this for my iPad two after using what seemed to be a similar case at work. I chose green and the color of the item was about the only thing that was really spot on in what I wanted. I was looking for something with a slim profile that added little bulk to the iPad but acted as a stand for Skype. When this arrived, it was quite flimsy and I immediately was hesitant to even take it out of the packaging. The way the case is constructed, the polyurethane sleeve that you slip the iPad into has edges that were fairly jagged (look in the grey image for evidence of that) and added a god 1/4 to 1/2" of material to the iPad which also meant it did not function in it's stand well. The magnetic cover, while it did work to turn the iPad on/off, was really flimsy and did not hold well in any position. The case felt cheaply made, which it is an incredibly inexpensive case, so this it so be expected. It was just more like fabric than I would have liked and added a bit too much too the iPad for my liking. I did end up returning the case. I wouldn't really recommend it I would suggest looking for a case with a snap on cover that is a hard plastic in the back my case now has that and works a lot better than I think this case could have both in protection and functionality.

Well, this is not a smart cover, and the price is less than half of it, so it won't be fair to compare it to an Apple smart cover. It does its work protecting both the back and front. It's got the smart cover features of folding into a stand in two angles, auto waking up the iPad when you open the case, and even the color match the smart covers. I really like the colors, which Apple probably spent quite some time to choose.

The material of case is very anti-slippery, it's ultra thin, and it's hard to take out. I agree with others, it is a kid-proof case. I bought an orange one, which made my daughter grin.

I loved this cover when I first got it. It is lightweight and I love the "smart cover" features (turns the iPad off when it's closed, turns it on when it's opened). The orange color wasn't as bright as the photo on Amazon, but it is still pretty, kind of like an orange cream popsicle.

The main improvement I can think of would be a small, secure strap to hold a stylus.

Unfortunately, this cover isn't holding up very well. After only four months, the part that rests around the front of the iPad2 is getting a bit loose. The edges are actually fraying just a bit, which I find unusual for the silicone-type of material that this seems to be made from. I'll keep this cover for now but am searching for one that will withstand the wear and tear of my many-times a day use and occasional use by my kids.

Having owned the original iPad and case, this one has been a disappointment. When folding the flap over to the back of the iPad, the magnets shut off the iPad and it's very annoying. I would have to disable that feature.

The fit is far from the original iPad case. I couldn't take it for more than 4 days, took it off and got a different case. Not worth shipping it back.
