As an iPad 1 owner, who recently acquired the new iPad (3), I wanted a case that was similar to Apple's original black, rubbery folio case. I also wanted protection for the rear camera lens glass on the new iPad.

This case is the closest I could find and it's "good enough". The rear camera is protected and the case adds little weight or thickness to my new iPad.

Although the case is listed as fitting the iPad 2, it works just fine with the new iPad. The magnetic closure/sleep mode doesn't work for me, but I didn't want that feature anyway I just wanted what I had for my first iPad, plus camera protection. Happy with this case.

Update, after 3 months the faux leather has cracked at the main "hinge point". Am now using a more expensive Moshi Concerti folio that offers protection for rear camera glass.

I love the case, my wife and I both got one, pink and one black. Her's works perfectly fine but my black one has a glitch where it turns off the display when opened all the way. (fron cover flat on the back) very odd. Again my wife's pink case, same company, works just fine she likes the case. And its a great price.
