This cover is great and many of the other reviews sum it up nicely. I previously was using the Amazon Basics flip cover, which used elastics on the four corners to hold the Kindle in place. These elastic straps were much too small and would regularly slip off, and the Kindle could fall out! (looks like it is unavailable, so maybe Amazon finally realized it had problems and is re-designing it!)

This Moko case does everything it is designed to do really well! I love that I can place my Kindle in front of my on a desk or table, or even on my stomach while laying on my back and not have to constantly hold it. The Kindle is much more protected than with the Amazon case and is held very securely and can't fall out.

It is also great that the part surrounding the Kindle itself can detach from the stand part of the case. This is great for hand holding and makes a much smaller package. The one problem with the design is that the velcro doesn't hold the kindle and the stand together very securely or tightly. I was worried it would come unattached in my bag or something.

On experimenting, I found that the soft backing of the part of the case that the Kindle slips into works as a better "loop" surface for the Velcro "hooks" on the stand part of the case. I removed the velcro "loop" material that was sewn on with a sharp pocket knife (a thread-ripper would work great too) and walla! When I stick the two halves together and press/knead them together a bit, I end up with a much stronger bond between the case and the stand, and doubt it would fall off!

Great case!

I just received this item yesterday and I love it! It has enough padding to give the Kindle a little protection when you're traveling or putting it in a bag/purse, but it's not bulky at all. Also, the case has a magnet to keep the cover closed. Also, you can flip the cover back and hold it like that-which is how I read with it. I think this case makes it more comfortable to read with the Kindle because it makes it more like reading a regular book. The color is perfect for me! The color for the online phone is very close to the actual color-though it looks slightly darker in person. The Kindle fits in there perfectly with access to all of the buttons on the Kindle. Also, the cover is really soft and seems durable. The cover does smell, though I think that will go away after a couple days. Overall, I am incredibly impressed with this item. It's a great color, great price, and great quality.

Most cases are just cases. What separates this case from others is that it's also a stand (which you undoubtedly know by now!). However, the fact that it can detach from the stand is an even bigger bonus. Some things I wanted when buying a case:

Lightweight

Act as a stand

No color transfer

Durable

Good protection for the Kindle

The Moko case fills all of these qualities in my opinion. When the outer "stand" layer is attached it's not the lightest thing in the world, but that's the beauty of the velcro to remove the "stand" layer. The remaining part keeps the kindle secure in a faux-leather case by use of another velcro strap near the top of the device.

I was a bit concerned about having to take the Kindle out to charge it with this case based on other reviews, but they must have either fixed that problem or the other people had it in upside down or something. There is no issue charging/transferring books to the kindle with the case on.

Color transfer was a problem I saw with some other cases reviewed on Amazon. I've had mine in there a month and a half now and there has been no color transfer to the Kindle yet. I'll update this review if ever that happens.

In regards to the guy who said it fell out of the case while in his bag I'm not sure how that is possible. Maybe he's had it a long time and the velcro is worn down? I feel that my Kindle is securely fastened with this case, both in just the case and with the stand wrapped around it.

I've used this case in both stand and non-stand mode and love it both ways. I've also already accidentally dropped the device with the case on (not with the stand portion) and nothing came of it. I'm happy with the protection, security, weight, and flexibility of this product and would recommend it to anyone with a Kindle touch.

Very pleased with this purchase. I like the vertical flip because I can stand the Kindle up if I'm reading while eating at a table. Was concerned there might be a chemical smell as is sometimes the case with inexpensive leather products, but was pleasantly surprised; only a very mild odor which dispersed within a day. My only complaint is you cannot access the on/off button while the Kindle is closed, but otherwise I love the product and would highly recommend it.

I was pretty sure I wanted a cover to protect my new "investment" in a Kindle Touch, but looking through the covers on Amazon, elsewhere on the Web, and at a nearby Staples, I was none too pleased with the prices I saw. Come on--$40, $50, $60, $70 bucks or even more for a cover? To me, my new Kindle was not a "fashion accessory," nor needed to be dressed up as one, and I didn't need the cover to be made of the finest leather, or to have a built in light, for that matter; the kinds of prices I was finding were way too much to pay for a cover for an item that had already set me back almost $200 bucks.

So, looking through dozens and dozens of covers, I finally found this one. It had several good reviews, it was leather, low in cost, and I liked the added features of the ability to stand the Kindle up at an angle for hands free reading, as well as the Kindle being encased in a leather surround for a little additional security to keep it in place and, if it happened to fall, a little more padding.

I have been very happy with the cover, like and have regularly used the hands free feature, and I like the extra padding. My two complaints are, first, that the outside cover with its little magnetic closure mechanism does not quite fully close in a way to present a neat, rectangular package, and my second complaint is that the cover arrived having a rather strange smell, perhaps from the tanning process? In any case, the smell has mostly dissipated, and I anticipate that it will, over time, likely disappear.

So, given these things, would I order this cover again ? You betcha.
