When you look at this pocket charger, you might be inclined to ask, "Where's the rest of it?" The charger is small. I'm talking iPhone small or a deck of cards small. It's about the size of an iPod classic.

The charger comes with a single cable for charging your gear. The cable has a standard USB plug on one end and the "Gomadic Tip" on the other end -which is fancy way of saying you can swap out the tip for something else. The two tips included are mini-USB and micro-USB. The mini-USB tip is used when recharging the pocket charger. The micro-USB tip is used when charging your Kindle DX/Kindle Fire/other device.

The pocket charger has five blue LEDs that light up when the pocket charger is charging. The LEDs act like a power gauge. More LEDs mean more power. You connect the mini-USB tip to the pocket charger and the regular USB plug to your computer. The LEDs start flashing as the charger is recharged. Once it's done, all five LEDs will be lit up.

Charging your device is a breeze. Switch the mini-USB tip out for a micro-USB tip, connect the micro-USB tip to your device and the regular USB plug to the pocket charger. Press the black button on the charger and your device is recharged.

That's it. It's a breeze. Gomadic makes it too easy. On average, I get 1-2 full charges from the pocket charger for my Kindle Fire.

This battery pack is wonderful. The battery pack stays charged for a long time allowing me to charge my kindles to charge while traveling so my devices are ready to use when I get to my destination. I would recommend this to every one. I will be ordering a second one to leave in my camper.
