Samsung Electronics Slate PC Digitizer Pen

  • Compatible with Wacom Penabled devices, like Galaxy Note, ATIV, and other Tablets and Tablet PC devices with Wacom digitizer stylus capability.

Recently purchased a Galaxy Note 10.1 and liking it so much, I wanted a pen with an eraser end as I had seen in the Note 10.1 videos.

This Wacom based Samsung stylus works great. It's the same size as a real pen and just feels like a better stylus tool for my Note 10.1 than the standard s pen. It also seems a little bit more responsive than the s pen. I did notice that the pointer position is just ever so slightly off though (about 1 mm), but it's easily (and naturally) correctable. The eraser end works fine completing the writing/drawing tool experience I wanted from this stylus.

It comes with 5 extra plastic nibs. Keep in mind they are larger than than the Note 10.1 s pen nibs, and all of them are the plastic type. This works for me since I put on a screen protector that added a small amount of friction. With the plastic nibs, the stylus glides across it as the s pen did with a rubber nib before the protector.

For Note 10.1 owners who buy this, if you store your s pen in the tablet's slot, be sure that in the PEN settings you disable the feature that monitors if the s pen is stored or not. Otherwise this stylus will not respond.

Unfortunately, Samsung has dropped the ball so far on accessories for the Galaxy Note 10.1, and their website doesn't mention this stylus works. Rest assured though, it works just fine.

Purchased the Penabled Wacom Tablet PC pen, the Thinkpad X60, Samsung 8pi stylus and the Samsung Series 7 Slate Digitizer Pen. I have slightly large hands and do a lot of writing the built in one is way too small.

Of the 4 my favorite is the Penabled Wacom Tablet PC pen. It's got the best feel in the hand. Just right amount of weight and the button is large enough that I don't accidentally depress it. Like that it doesn't have a clip to get in the way of my hand.. You may not like the white, I don't care.

The X60 is the second favorite, it's a little smaller but has some weight to it as well and its nice to write with. Looks more professional as well with the standard red eraser and black lenovo styling.

The 8pi is oddly the third. It's a little too thin for my fingers and the button is too easy to hit accidentally. Tracks the best, and if you have smallish hands this may be your thing. Get ready to order it overseas though.

The Series 7 (this one...) I don't use much as all. It's clip on it gets in the way of my finger too often and it's tracks the furthest off center for me.

3 of the 4 are slightly "off center". The Samsung series 7 is the furthest off target, the 8pi stylus being as accurate as the built in one. The wacom and the Thinkpad are equally off, just a couple millimeters.

if you use Lecture Notes like I do, that can be adjusted so that it's not an issue at all.

I don't know how it does it but it works well. Touch and hold, or don't touch and it will highlight what you are pointing at. It makes it easier to see what you are pointing at before you touch. I needed an extra because I use it in the field and loose things.

PROS: Its a very good product. I purchased a second one in case I lost my first one. It gives a very precise touch in the screen, I am really very satisfied with the product.

CONS: The manufacturer could make a pointer protector for the pen. I could carry it out more confident for everywhere.
