Since this is the second time I have purchased these DVDs, I have nothing but praise. For those people I provide DVDs to, they are amazed at the clarity of the lightscribe image I use, from logos to their own pictures. Highly recommend.

I'm on my third purchase of these discs and I have yet to experience even one failure. Reading some of the other reviews for this product might lead one to believe that there is some quality issue with them, but I'm thinking those other reviewers may have been experiencing the proverbial PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) error. Those gloomy reviewers should probably take a little closer look at their settings or other system configuration issues before blaming the disc.

Given a choice, I'd like to be able to stick to just one color or another instead of buying all five different colors. While they are perfect for storing, say, wedding videos, the red colored discs do not display the Lightscribe graphics as clearly as the yellow discs, but that is such a minor gripe that it is hardly worth mentioning. Better yet, how about wishing for a Lightscribe drive that actually prints in color instead of grayscale, huh?

So my final word is summed up in the title of this review: If you can find a better disc at a better price, then go buy it. I've looked far and wide, and I have yet to find a better deal myself!

I purchased these with high hopes (misplaced). Almost every disk gets rejected for an inability of the drive to read the lightscribe instructions. With careful cleaning it can read the disk on the first or second try and then prints the image without a problem. However the lightscribe side does not clean easily. Water is inadequate for the task, and although alcohol works, it partially destroys the surface. I have not had this problem with Memorex. Maybe just a bad production run, but I won't buy this brand again.

Three different LightScribe drives wouldn't reliably recognize these discs one would recognize them once in every two or three discs, the other two drives wouldn't recognize them at all. A total waste of time and effort.
