I hate typing into my journal on my iPad, so I found out that Penultimate is the best app if you are into keeping notebooks full of scribbles, pictures, but the one problem I had was that my fingertips were always either too "oily" or the friction just feels weird on my fingertips. This stylus is the best thing to happen to me since I started journaling on my iPad! I can now draw and write in the app and Penultimate has a special ink stroke technology that can guess when you are making long or thin strokes and this stylus complements that perfectly.Another thing is that this is also good for surfing on Safari when you just feel like lounging back on a couch and don't want to use your fingers to scroll on pages, you can just use this to tap on links and scroll on pages. Amazing product.

Works great. Love the easy of having the pen and stylus in one. It makes easy to have both so handy.It works as anticipated. it looks classy and minimalist in the photo, but believe me this is such a cheaply/poorly made item. The finish will scratch off within days and it just does not feel quality. The responsiveness on the ipad is sluggish.Of course it's a great idea to include a pen, but it's a cheapo ballpoint. Worse yet, the casing screws off very easily, so what's the use of a pen after the whole thing comes apart unbeknownst to you and you lose its pieces?
