There's a severe lack of great, thin cases for the Nexus 7. Most of the ones with covers look like a leather document portfolio. After ordering and returning several, I decided to give the coverless path a try. If you feel the same way, you might be better off getting a back cover and pairing it with a screen protector. The Nexus is way too thin and beautiful to put into a chunky case.This case is quite nice and thin, very simple and fits the tablet perfectly. There is plenty of room for the speakers and jacks, but still covers all the vital pieces of the case. The glitter is a flat type that is part of the case (rather than loose glitter that is glued on), so you won't have to worry about getting your clothes all festive.
It had a strong, plastic smell when I pulled it out of the mailing envelope, and the smell got on my hands, but the smell faded off after a few days.
