I understand a lot of people giving this a good review due to being a very good deal. As a deal this product sale rated a 5, it was fabulously cheap for what it is. As a PRODUCT, it's good. Works fine. But it isn't as sturdy as better cables, it's a bit flimsy honestly. If you are not going to be moving the cable around a lot, if you are just going to plug it in and leave it, it will hold up great! Go for it. If you are looking for a more resilient cable that can withstand many unpluggings and repluggings and being stepped on and so on, this cable won't do for you at all. This is more meant to be a stationary solution for when you need a nice long cable. I can't see it withstanding a lot of abuse though.

Belkin is a name that I've come to trust over the years. When I went looking for 100 feet of Cat 5 to run all the way through the house, through the walls and floors, I knew I did not want to get a cable which would be less than trustworthy... who wants to pull all that out to find a problem! So I went with the Belkin cable. It wasn't the cheapest one that Amazon had, but I trust the name. And I have had no problems.

I bought this to run a line from the den (where the router is) to the living room so that we could connect our Xbox 360 to the internet without handing over even more money to Microsoft for the wireless adapter. It's been working well for a few years now. Also survived a splice job I had to do when my puppy chewed on it.
