Belkin Striped Cover / Case with Stand for Apple iPad mini (Red)

Belkin Striped Cover / Case with Stand for Apple iPad mini
  • Multiple Viewing Angles
  • Protective Corners
  • Magnetic Tab Closure

Can't say anything negative about this product. I've only had it about a week but it has served it's purpose just fine. At purchase of my iPad mini choices were slim to nonexistent for covers/protection gear. I thought I'd give this a shot as I generally find Belkin produces quality products. This is no exception. The iPad snaps comfortably into the corner guards which hold it in place and do not block any portion of the screen or interfere with buttons/controls. The tailoring is fine and the fit seems perfect. Grey is my favorite color so I'm happy with it's appearance. The cover is soft and somewhat padded, feels nice in hand. Cover flips back and a nice feature of the magnetic tab is that it is magnetic in both directions; for closure and open back behind. I'm ecstatic with the iPad mini, so it justly deserved this bit of protection. Mind you, it's not a Tumi or Ted Baker cover or even that of the coolness of a Speck* product, but at present it's a great choice and more than adequate I like it.

We got the ipad mini over the holidays and soon after we wound up on a quest for the perfect case to keep it protected. This does the job!

Belkin has crafted a superior product with this striped case. I love the padding this provides which some have mentioned disdain for. It seems like people want uber-slender cases but they don't realize that this lack of girth diminishes the protection to the iPad itself. I love that you can FEEL the thickness that is protecting your investment. I feel safe with this on my device.

The gray color is awesome. Very cool contrast between the gray and black. It has a masculine look to it that I am digging. I really love it. It seems to be holding up well and has yet to take on any stains or discolorations.

I like that the case snaps firmly into a framed slot and feels totally secure. It's a wonder that it feels as snug and still gives the user access to all the iPad's buttons. Very convenient!!!

I love the stand as well. I prop it up with no issues and find myself tapping away at the screen with ease throughout the day.

Great case from Belkin!

Received this Belkin iPad mini case yesterday as part of the Amazon Vine review. The case offers nice padding for the device, and it can be used as a stand for say viewing videos (see photos above in the product display.) I also have the Apple Smart Cover, but I have found it a little too slim for getting a good grip on the iPad mini. This Belkin case provides a better grip without adding too much extra weight to the device. You can tuck away the magnetic closure, and the rubber corners are pretty obtrusive. However, the corners do make it a little difficult to remove the iPad from the case. The padding also makes it a little difficult to get at the volume controls and the power buttons, but I wouldn't say that is a dealbreaker for the case. If you're looking for a case with nice leather padding, I recommend this Belkin model as a good choice.

This is a folio or "book style" case for the iPad Mini. The iPad is held in place using a sewn in holder made of a semi-flexible plastic; the iPad snaps into place, protecting the corners of the iPad. It holds the iPad in place securely. The magnetic latch does it's job to keep the iPad case closed when not in use, but it is not a smart cover that automatically locks the screen when closed.

The material that is used is a durable padded vinyl that somewhat mimics leather, but not objectionably so it doesn't appear cheap. The fit and finish is nicely done. The edges of the case overlap the iPad similar to a book cover, further protecting the edges of the iPad. The inside of the case is covered with a suede-like material that protects the screen.

This case has indents on the inside cover of the case that allows the case to be adjusted for 3 positions for horizontal viewing. The cover can also be folded over, with a narrower incline for typing, which works well.

The snap-in assembly which protects the corners and the additional typing position are important differences between this case and Belkin's cheaper cases. The price differential is so small that it makes sense to spend a little more and get this case.
