This case is well built only that it does not completely cover the 3ds but it does protect it from some falls and provides a good grip when playing with the case, in the picture it shows the 3ds being held by small rectangles and yes they are covered in leather so it doesnt scratch your 3ds, this case looks and feels like it can last a good while.
