I purchased this ipad mount to secure my ipad in a small retail business enviornment. I didn't want anyone to steal the ipad and wanted to secure it to a table. This item regularly sells for $60+ elsewhere so pricewise it's definitely a 5 star item. I did have to change out the suction base for a flat surface mount (RAM-B-202U) in order to secure it properly. However I did test out the suction mount and it safely secures an iPad on a smooth surface or window.

My only issue is that the lever to remove the ipad from the mount could have been designed better. When pressing the lever on the top (where it's intended to be pressed), it is difficult to unlock the mount to remove the ipad. I have to press the unlock lever at the base for it to unlock smoothly.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this product due to the price range and it works for my intended purpose.
