The battery installation was tricky, but I found some good info online. The included instructions are not very useful because the photos are too fuzzy. It's better to search for "palm t3 battery replacement" and watch the video on YouTube. I found some good photos of the process on the SPUG forums and at pdainternalbattery follow the links from the Wikipedia article. I would include the links if it were allowed by Amazon's review guidelines.
The included phillips (+) screwdriver is necessary for doing the tiny screws in the T3. You'll also need a tiny slot (-) screwdriver to open the case, to remove the ribbon cable plug, and to remove the battery plug. A paperclip is useful for releasing the sliding cover from its track.
The screen protector is really nice. My T3's screen had some scratches, but the screen protector covers these, making the screen look perfect. You have to cut one side of the screen protector to make it fit the T3.
I carry my T3 around in this case. It works pretty well:

I hate the bulky charging cradle and AC adapter that come with the T3. I use this short USB charging and data cable. It works well for charging and sync'ing the T3 when it's still in the case:
EforcityData & Charging USB Cable for Palm (PalmOne) m500 / m505 / m515 / m125 / m130 / I705 / TUNGSTEN T / T2 / T3 / W / C /ZIRE 71
The T3 can read 2GB SD cards but can't write them. It can read and write 1GB SD cards. This one works well for me:
Transcend 1 GB SD Flash Memory Card TS1GSDCArrived promptly and holds a charge well. Was time to replace the original battery as the T3 was purchased in 2003. Little tough to get the unit open and install the battery. Everything is put back together and my Palm works like it is brand new. Would recommend for others.Great product at great price, prompt delivery, holding charge perfectly, big relief of the problem with my Tungsten PDA, could not wish for anything better.
Thanks to Amazon it's the only way for me to find anything I ever need in every imaginable application using their suggestions and users reaction to the product you are looking for and get new ideas for things you are not looking for at the time. After almost exactly seven years, the battery in my Palm Tungsten T3 PDA would no longer hold a charge. Despite mixed reviews for the seller, Osprey-Talon, I picked their replacement battery for a grand total of $6. It was so much less-expensive than other replacements (which run $20 and up), I figured that even if it was a bust, I'd be out only a few dollars.
Though I have over 50 years' on-and-off experience repairing electronic equipment, I worried that disassembling and reassembling the PDA would be an exercise in irritating fussiness. To my surprise, it was remarkably easy. Just take your time and don't rush.
The reason I've given only four stars is that I have no idea of the battery's useful life. My experience with third-party li-ion batteries (for an Olympus E-500 and Yaesu VX-5R) was terrible, with the batteries failing just a few months after purchase. (In both cases, the original batteries are still good.) When this battery fails (which could be tomorrow or ten years from now), "I shall return" and let you know. Until then, if you see no addendum, you can assume it's still chugging along.
