And just in case you think I'm just being hard on this product, check out these gems from the "manual." Seriously, go on craigslist and pay a college kid $100 bucks to proofread your translations before you mass produce them...
"It save power when light shining one second."
"Usability diameter is less than 1.5mm tiny objects like toothpick inserted DPI hole and so on."
I'm gonna post a picture to show you what I mean by the mouse size. This will hurt your hand if you use it. Be Warned. It is not cheap, but it is made cheaply...as in poorly made. The basic design is good, but I wish someone like Logitech would make one of these in high quality. The ball fits to loosely in the socket which makes for poor cursor movement. It also needs to be larger. It is to small for an adults hands.I really like it. it is a little awkward to use on the table but i really like the thumb ball. Easy to hold and the range is great. I love it for watching TV on the computer i don't need a table to work the mouse on i just sit back and relax. the ball is a little loose but it rolls smooth. I also like that it is rechargeable and can be charged when in use but it last a long time on a charge if you turn it off. over all i like it not great for quick precise movements but for surfing or watching shows it works great. it fits so nice in my hand never put it down.I really like the idea. I had a finger mouse which after many years has finally died and I thought I would try this. For the price it is not worth it. I have no problems with the fit or the roller ball, but the scroll wheel is terrible. When you scroll it might go up or down or both. SOmetimes it scroll down for a little bit and then jumps back up. Very annoying and not useful. Save your money and buy something else. Some reviewers felt this trackball is too small or didn't have design that would be comfortable to use. I thought the size and design were perfect -it was very comfortable to hold and operate the buttons/trackball. I'm a 5'7" woman with small hands, and it could have fit my hands better if it were a bit smaller. My guess is that this will fit almost all female hand as well as the hands of men that are average or smaller than average.
Now for the bad part: The one I got simply didn't work. I charged it. The buttons worked (could select) but the cursor did not respond to the device at all. The instructions are all but unintelligible -there might have been something in them to clue me in, perhaps the puzzling procedure described that looked optional. There was a support email address provided, but as of over a week later have not received a response. So looks like this will be a return.
I like the design so much, though, that I might order another one in the hopes that it would work. And I might give the puzzling procedure that involves sticking a toothpick into a hole in the mouse a try too.
Wish some more reliable company would produce a small wireless handheld trackball. So many people are now couch-computing that there must be a growing market for handheld wireless devices, including for those who don't have very large hands.
Logitech's equivalent (with the ball on the side) is way too big to hold in my hand and even a bit too large to use comfortably laying on a surface.
One reviewer felt it required too much cleaning. Having used trackballs a lot, I think that just goes with the territory, is something trackball users have to accept. (I'd expect to clean this one weekly.)
If I have some success with this, I'll update review.
