Not sure how much can actually go wrong with a Cisco branded antenna, but I can say this much... The wireless on my Cisco 851W router doesn't work at all without it, and I get excellent range with it.

It screws in easily and has firm articulation--it's stays at whichever angle I point it. I paid $12.77 at the time... the same listing is now $3.45. Can't complain about $12, but if you need an antenna and can still get it for basically what equates to the change found in your couch cushions, go for it.
