IPEVO PoV USB Camera

I bought this to try to use as a document camera, but the manual focus and type of stand did not allow good photos of text I should have bought the next model up. IPEVO Point 2 View USB Camera Not the fault of the camera, nor reflected in my rating just a piece of information.

However, hubby now has a web cam for his computer. Works fine for that picture and sound quality are good. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the quality of the mounting arrangement, not the camera. Mounting arrangement is OK but not the most secure in the world, and the swivel joint is a bit loose. Nothing I can't live with for the price, though.

It does have a mic, though it's not explicitly stated anywhere. You have to manually turn in on in Skype, FYI if you are a newbie like me.

Crystal clear picture, perfect snapshots and clear, sharp color make this cam a perfect choice. I like it very much.

This is the 7th POV USB Camera I have purchased in the past 12 months. I've been getting them for friends and family alike. All praise its ease of use, sound and picture quality. The camera has a very versatile base which allows it to mount onto anything you need it to. The original software is not too bad either. All of the programs you'd use this camera with identify it right away. Great value at a great price. Well worth buying.

This model the 'IPEVO PoV USB Camera" is not great for the mac.

The "IPEVO Point 2 View USB Camera" DOES. I had bought the cheaper "PoV" to try to get it to work like the "Point to View". They are not the same, but the "Point to View" is great & does well as a cheap document camera.
