Please everyone beware. I've done several tests on this wall charger. It is very cheaply made and the adapter does not have the proper electrical filter for the transformer. Yes, it will charge your transformer just fine, but will do permanent damage to your chips in the long run. Because of the bad filter, there is too much electrical interference and will permanently damage vital components of your tablet, like your wifi chip and the capacitive touch sensor.

Amazon retailers need to stop selling these very cheaply made products that do permanent damage to your devices in the long term.

To get this item or not is entirely up to you. Yes, it will work just fine at first. But you will begin to notice your touch screen getting less sensitive. Your electronic components will begin to degrade. Your choice.

I took a chance on this item since there were no reviews, so I'll write one in case anyone else is wondering how this charger works. Well it charges my tablet (I have the "OG" Asus Transformer, but it claims to charge the 201 or Transformer prime as well and I would not doubt that it does. The cord is longer than the original usb cable that comes with the transformer which is definitely a good thing (that cord was way too short). It was a cheap replacement for the usb-wall adapter that came with the tab which I lost and is somewhat pricey to replace. My only complaint is that the charger ends in a "power brick" and blocks other outlets on my power strip, but it's not a deal breaker. All in all if you are looking to supplement or replace the charging adapter that came with the tablet I would say go for this one.

I made the mistake of buying this "charger" without reading the reviews. It is completely unacceptable, it causes the Transformer Prime to behave in an erratic manner. With no input from me, it began to un-install one of my important apps. When I press the icon for an app, it starts a completely different app. For all practical purposes the Transformer is unusable while connected to the charger. I only hooked it up for a short time, I hope it has not damaged my tablet. I do not understand why Amazon would allow such a product, with such negative reviews to remain on the site.
