This stylus works perfectly on my iPad3. I had an earlier version of the BoxWave stylus that had such high friction that I had to steal cosmetic powder from my wife to lubricate the tip so that it would slide on the screen. The mesh screen glides smoothly and give much better precision than my finger tip. The reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that the tip on the pen does not fit over the opposite end, so you have to hold it while you are writing with the pen.
