This item stopped working after two days of use. Power light won't go on or power any USB item in any outlet, outlets where other electrical items work.

I love the heavy duty 6A power supply, but this hub has an interesting glitch. It appears the USB 3.0 ports are not backward-compatible with all USB 2.0 devices. I didn't know that was even possible. My Evolent Vertical Mouse 2, my Logitec Wheel Mouse and an old USB thumb drive aren't recognized in the 3.0 ports, but work fine in the 2.0 ports. However, my Canon CanoScan 8600F scanner and two more recent thumb drives work fine in both ports. Go figure. If anyone knows a fix for this problem, please post here.

my only wish is that it had four of the USB 3.0, and three of the 2.0. But it works for what I need

Did not work with my Dell Studio 1749, Win7 64-bit. I get the following Task bar notification: "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it." I cannot successfully update the driver from the Device Manager. There are no downloadable drivers from the Targus website. I chatted with Support ("Crystal"), who said that her best guess was that it was a faulty device.

Not sure if I happened to get a bad one or if this is just a crap model to begin with. "Crystal" said she hadn't heard of this problem before, but that doesn't mean much to me.

In any case, I'm returning it and won't be getting the same model.
