The case seems sturdy, but the description says, "Custom molded & designed solely for the Amazon Kindle Touch. Perfect internal secure fit." The case I received was 2" too long and 1.25" too wide for the Kindle Touch. The case is also relatively thick at about 1.5". It has two elastic straps inside to hold the Kindle in place, and appears to do so relatively well. There's also an inside pouch for accessories, but at the very least, you'd want to turn the Kindle face down to prevent anything from rubbing against the screen.
This case does NOT fit the Kindle Touch. Unlike the product pictured this case is too big for the Kindle Touch. The Touch will fit inside it, yes, but it will also fit inside the trunk of my car where it will slide around beating itself up. You will NOT get the product pictured. The case you will receive is about two inches too long and a half inch too wide. Very, very deceptive picture and description. Shame on you Amazon for allowing this sort of bait and switch.

Unlike the previous viewer, the case I received fit my Kindle Touch perfectly. In fact, I wish there was a little more room to fit the light I also purchased. Cables will fit nicely in the case with the kindle, there is a little play. Could probably even fit 2 Kindles in there, thickness wise.
Case is light, but stiff enough to protect the screen from things falling on it. It won't stand up to being run over by a car, but should be find to protect the kindle from other things in your bag.
I like it.
