Cosmos ® Wireless USB HandHeld Finger Trackball Mouse with Laser Pointer for macbook pro or other P

I bought this mouse in September and for less than 3 months, I loved it. Now it no longer works. All the buttons work but the trackball does not. Since the main point of the mouse is being able to move the cursor around the screen and I can no longer do that, this mouse is useless to me. Mouse was not mishandled or improperly used. It worked fine last night and this morning it is broken.

12/27/12 Update:

Out of frustration (put perhaps mostly boredom) I unscrewed my mouse this evening and took a look into it. I'm not particularly tech savvy but seeing nothing glaringly out of place, I put the mouse back together. Somehow, perhaps through a shear miracle of coincidence, it now works. Unfortunately, my crappy screwdriver did strip the screws during removal so here is to actually securing it in place again.

Unless it will break soon, I've been using it for the past week and it does work ok. No miracles. Just fine.

This little handheld trackball is WONDERFUL!!! It is EXACTLY as advertised, easy to handle, and great for travel particularly in public spaces where you do not want to take up space with a mouse and pad, and I HATE using that little pad on the keyboard! (It is VERY ergonomically incorrect!) It will take a bit for those who are not trackball proficient, as does any trackball. However, if you are a gamer, you will HATE this it will be very difficult to move quickly enough and with enough precision. Stick with the appropriate toys for action gaming. Business folks and educators, fear NOT!

If you like a trackball and enjoy being able to use a computer with your feet up you will love this device. I've used a trackball for a long time and this is the smoothest and easiest I've come across. I only found two minor drawbacks. 1. It needs to be recharged with a USB cable device. A battery option would be nice. I haven't yet found how long a charge lasts. 2. A thumb size transmitter that fits into the USB can be magnetically stored on the bottom of the device this seems like a precarious system and if the transmitter is lost the unit can't be used. A more secure method would be very desirable. The bottom line is keep it charged and don't lose the transmitter. I've been waiting years for this to be produced. Bravo!
