Handspring Visor Serial Hotsync Cradle (Ice)

Handspring Visor Serial Hotsync Cradle
  • HotSync serial cradle for your Handspring Visor
  • Synchronize at home or the office
  • Compatible with Windows 95, 98, and NT and Mac OS 7.5.3 or later
  • Connects to serial port; ideal for non-USB-equipped PCs and Macs
  • Replaces or complements the USB HotSync cradle that comes with the Visor Deluxe

This is a must if you don't have a USB port, or if your running Win NT. Goes without saying that synching with a serial device isn't as fast as with the USB cradle, but it does get the job done. I use the USB cradle at home and the serial cradle at the office.

If you are going to start using a PDA, like the Visor Deluxe, consider two cradles if you work outside the home. Having two places to do my "to do list" is worth the $... alone. I did not like the ice color at first, but I am fine with it now. The unit worked perfectly out of the box, and so far connects every time. The Visor became a "killer application" for me, so the need for the two cradles was evident from the start.

I have a cradle for a desk top with windows95 and a serial port and a laptop with win98 and a usb port. I find virtually the same performance in both cradles with regards to time, function, compatability, etc. One odd thing that may be unique to my cradles is that the serial cradle holds the visor MUCH MUCH tighter than the USB cradle. I cant really think of a reason that this would be but detatching it from the serial cradle is somewhat of a pain. Possibily with use it will be less "sticky". The data transfer is smooth with both and I hesitated ALOT (!) about getting a cradle for each computer but I am very glad I did. Right after I did my laptop went in for repairs and my visor needed batteries..... you need to hotsync before a battery change...hence my timing was perfect. Perfect timing doesnt happen often in life and I am just thankful it happened this time...before I started losing data. Consider this option if you have a serial port computer you can use...you won't be sorry PS LOVE MY VISOR!

Excellent cradles either way. I use the USB cradle at home and a serial one at work. You can't tell the difference in speed. The hot sync button on the cradle works like a champ.

I needed a replacement Handspring Visor PDA and cradle-- Yes, I know they are not the rage of today, but some of us couldn't live without one. Fortunately, I found a almost-new Handspring Visor from Ed's PDA 'n More here on Amazon. Great price, prompt delivery, and great followup. It is obvious that Ed has a passion for good service, and his goal is for every customer to be satisfied. He has much more than PDA's- good variety of current favorites and scarce oldies. Thanks, Ed.I'll be back.

elago Stylus Rustic for iPhone 3GS/ 4, iPad and Galaxy (World First Replaceable Tip) - Extra Rubber

elago Stylus Rustic for iPhone 3GS/ 4, iPad and Galaxy - Extra Rubber Tip + Leather Case included - Walnut
  • Designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod iTouch,Galaxy Tab.
  • Soft touch pen-point for better screen-protection.
  • Precise touch and control, easily avoid pressing the wrong keys.
  • World First Replaceable Tip
  • Extra Rubber Tip included

I spent some time searching for a good stylus because I want something that I will be happy with that will last. Elago is the winner. This classy walnut stylus matches my wooden ipad cover perfectly. The fact that I can replace the tips as they wear and tear is the greatest idea ever. I don't know how long each tip will last, so I will try update as time goes by.

It responds well to my bare screen, but I am thinking about getting a screen protector so I will also try to update on that if and when it happens.

I have tried several styli, and this is by far the best, in my opinion, for taking handwritten notes on my iPad (I use the GoodNotes app). It's a very comfortable width, nice length, and the natural materials feel good in my hand when in use for long periods. The leather cover is nice to protect the tip when it's rolling around in my purse. I've been using it for several months, and have not yet had to replace the original tip. The tip is stiff enough some tend to drag when taking extensive, lengthy notes, but this one glides nicely.

This is my first tablet and therefore my first tablet case. To me it is a winner. Very well made, protects the tablet well, and does everything I want it to. Zipper closure is an extra bonus. I don't have to worry about the tablet falling out and can also put a couple of papers and a pen inside.

Buy rooCASE Executive Portfolio (Black) 100% Genuine Leather Case Cover with Landscape / Portrait View f Now

Let me start by saying that I received a defective case. The zipper was sewn incorrectly and would get completely stuck almost fully zipped. If it hadn't been defective, I probably would have kept it, but since I have to return it anyway I will be purchasing a different case.

I bought this case for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7 inch), and the inner case does fit the tablet perfectly, with cutouts for all the buttons and the camera. That said, in addition to the manufacturer defect, this case has a few problems. First and foremost, the zippered case seems to be just slightly too small for the interior sleeve. It makes the zipper difficult to use and pulls at the edges. Also, the description calls this case leather. This appears to be the case, but it is very low-quality, stiff, fake-looking leather. Finally, the magnetized stand on the outside of the zippered case did not work at all as a stand. This might get better as the leather breaks in, but every time I tried to use it in the short time I had it, it just flopped back to its magnet.

Overall, this does feel like a relatively well-constructed case, but there are some missteps that would need to be addressed before I would buy another one or recommend it to anyone else.

This is a high quality case, very solid construction. Will provide great protection for the tablet. Also versatile nice stand which secures itself by means of a magnet (I think), it has useful pockets for small paper items or business cards which is very useful, inner detaches also useful if the packaging is not required. Overall a 5 star item!

Want rooCASE Executive Portfolio (Black) 100% Genuine Leather Case Cover with Landscape / Portrait View f Discount?

The case is made of good quality leather. The inside cover is lined in soft material to protect the screen. I've found the case to be well made, if a bit snug, and offers excellent protection. The case is somewhat thick, but this is to be expected of such a design.

Save 43% Off

Although this case provides ample protection for your device that is the only positive thing I can say about it. The stylus holder is a cheap little elastic strap; and if you push your stylus clip too far into the strap it is a pain to get back out. I understand that leather needs to be broken in, but this is way too stiff. However if you have the patience to break it in, go for it. Also; the zipper sticks and hags up on the holder for your device. The case also feels too bulky and heavy. Lastly, the stand on the back of the case does not support it well. It kept folding under, even on a sturdy desk top. I do not recommend this case. You can get one on Amazon with a built in blue-tooth keyboard for the same price or less.

Compaq iPAQ 170339-B22 Compact Flash Card Expansion Pack for 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900, 5400 series

Compaq iPAQ 170339-B22 Compact Flash Card Expansion Pack for 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900, 5400 series
  • Increases the functionality of your iPAQ Pocket PC
  • Adds a CompactFlash expansion slot
  • Permits plug-in storage cards and LAN connectivity
  • Can be used to connect modems or bar code scanners made by other manufacturers
  • Easy to install; stylish and lightweight

This a good product for its price. For (...)dollars you can add a modem or expand memory or add a wireless ethernet or ethernet or make your IPAQ GPS capable. But one thing product lacks is that it uses the battery of the IPAQ so it reduces the time you can use the IPAQ. The PC card expansion has its own battery so it helps the IPAQ last a little longer. And the PC card expansion has more items that can be used with it. So you just have to see which is more usable for you the CF card expansion or the PC card expansion or none if you dont need the expansions.

The single compact flash expansion sleeve is a minimal way to go for expanding your iPAQ. The iPAQ can play mp3's directly off compact flash, there are a lot of available expansions for compact flash.

It might be wiser to look at one of the "PC card expansion sleeves" as they include an extra battery! You can pick up Compact Flash adaptors for PC cards cheep, like under ten US dollars.

Compact Flash memory can be found at fairly low prices.

With this expansion installed the protective cover which comes with the iPAC 3765 is a fairly tight fit.

I bought this Expansion pack when i bought my new Compaq Ipaq 3765. I have used it for about a month now and i really like it. The Ipaq fits in it very well and it does make the Ipaq easier to hold when i am walking around the office or at home answering email or surfing the net. I use a Linksys compact flash 802.11b card plugged into this sleeve to connect to my company's intranet I do have a problem with the size in that none of the cases will hold the Ipaq with the expansion slot on. This makes it a little hard because when i leave the office i have to take the sleeve off to put the unit in its case for the trip home, or take the chance of scratching the face of the Ipaq. I am kind of worried about how long the connector will last with this kind of use.

Over all it is a very good product. I have not had any problems with this piece and for the price it is worth it... you won't go wrong.

Want Compaq iPAQ 170339-B22 Compact Flash Card Expansion Pack for 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900, 5400 series Discount?

My iPAQ came with this expansion pack and it made all the difference in the world to just the organizer it is by itself.

I have a 256 Compact Flash Card where I have my MP3's and of course all my documents and photographs, I also have a modem to check my e-mail anywhere, and a Network card to connect at the office.

It is kind of bulky, but for me, it is as functional as a PC without having to carry the Laptop.

Before I begin, I love my iPaq. However, this is my biggest gripe with the iPaq, they need this expansion pack to throw a CF card into them. Without it, the iPaq is small and sleek; with it, it's huge. And, with the sheer amount of stuff out there with Compact Flash connectivity (modem, networking, CF cards, etc), I think it is inane that Compaq didn't at least include it with the iPaq. Or, better yet, build a CF slot into the machine.

Still, it is necessary for what I think is the best PDA on the market. While I think the idea is dumb, it works great and isn't all that expensive. Hence my 4 star rating

CABLE,CAT6,UTP,RJ45M/M,50',BLK,PATCH,SNAGLESS

CABLE,CAT6,UTP,RJ45M/M,50',BLK,PATCH,SNAGLESS
  • ? Maximize your network speed with higher bandwidth
  • ? Perfect for VoIP, video, and file transfers
  • ? Performance tested - tested to exceed 500MHz
  • ? Protect your network for future expansion

It's hard to review cables, but there is a discernable difference between brands. Generally, Belkin is the best in terms of materials, construction, and performance. Some Belkin products I've purchased have a vinyl cover that emits a distinctly unpleasant odor, but this product didn't. Performance was reasonable disk-to-disk transfers ran about 50 MB/sec, but I'm not sure the cable is the limiting factor. My recommendation purchase this cable rather than something cheaper. You won't regret it.

GSAstore Wireless Bluetooth® Keyboard Aluminum Stand Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - Models: N8

GSAstore Wireless Bluetooth® Keyboard Aluminum Stand Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - Models: N8000 N8010 N8013 . Color Silver with Black ABS keys.
  • Compatible: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1"Model: N8000, N8010, N8013
  • Low key-distance with new design square key shape
  • Soft touch and tactile feedback with scissor-structure key-switch
  • Ultra slim and fashion, space-saving layout

First things first, it works fine, albeit a little laggy. But my issues are so much with the operation of the keyboard itself, but of the engineering. Indeed, there are several issues that I have with it, but none are complete deal-breakers.

The first issue is that there is no power LED or other indication that the unit is synced because the sync light goes out when it connects (By the way, There is also no CAPS LOCK light, but I knew that when I bought it.)

The second issue is that you must use the tablet only in landscape mode, and the tablet just sits in the slot with nothing to secure it other than gravity, which brings me to the biggest issue I have with it: stability. That short, narrow prop behind the tablet makes it precarious, especially if the surface on which you set the keyboard isn't perfectly flat or has an incline or decline. If you have the keyboard on a flat, level surface, and don't touch the tablet, or only touch it lightly and infrequently, you shouldn't have a problem. But don't dare try to set the tablet in portrait mode, as the keyboard is too light and the center of gravity is too far back on the tablet to keep from tipping over. In other words, forget using this in portrait mode unless you have some method to keep the tablet and keyboard from tipping over backward.

The next issue is the engineering of the clamps that hold it on. Chiefly among the issues with the clamping system is that the clamps are not very strong; I don't trust them to stay together well. Another issue is that if I wanted to slide the tablet down to make a flat unit, I cannot just lower it. Instead, I have to rotate it 180° so the top of the tablet is on the space bar side, otherwise the clamps interfere with the power button; on the other hand, when I want to close it, I simply tilt it forward and slide the bottom to the back of the keyboard. Surely this arrangement could have benefited from better engineering.

The good news is that it is aluminum, which makes it very light, very thin, and offers additional protection. I believe the keyboard + tablet is still lighter than an iPad! Also, I've typed on worse keyboards. As far as looks or aesthetics go, it looks pretty nice when it is closed or when it is in use. And since it is Bluetooth, I can use it with other devices, such as my cellphone.

To summarize, the stability issue is close to untenable, but the lightness, thinness, and the fact it does work pretty well means it gets three stars in my book.

On the whole, I'll keep it. But I'd still rather have another solution.

Bought this keyboard for use with the galaxy note tablet. It also serves as a cover for the tablet screen when not in use. The keyboard has a good look and feel and pairs easily using the Bluetooth feature. Only drawback is that when the tablet is sitting in the keyboard mount it is not locked into place. I recommend this product overall as it works well.

HP Jornada 820 - Handheld - Windows CE H/PC Pro - 8.2" color CSTN ( 640 x 480 )

HP Jornada 820 - Handheld - Windows CE H/PC Pro - 8.2' color CSTN(This review is for the Jornada 820 mini laptop.)

A nice write-up Eric (another Reviewer here on Amazon.com). I really enjoyed reading your review.

I agree, the Jornada 820 is a great mini laptop! I think it is physically much better made than almost any of the current batch of netbooks (MSI Wind, Asus Eee, HP Mini, and even the Samsung NC10). Absolutely no flex in the screen or the keyboard. Amazing! What a great keyboard! I have not seen another mini laptop with a 3 mm travel on each key press (all the others are around 2 mm). And the light grey-blue color, textured hard plastic cover, is beautiful and very practical shows no fingerprint marks whatsoever. No cracks even after 10 years. If it only had a full Windows XP functionality and still keeping the fantastic instant-on/instant-off feature! Actually, for my purposes, the one and only real problem with the Jornada 820 is not being able to enter websites with a greater than 40-bit encryption security (i.e., all those that need 128-bit). And web surfing on such a small screen with a very basic browser is not the greatest experience (it gets tiring after a while). But high-speed Internet with a wired Kingston Ethernet IC PC Card (or with a Cisco Aeronet 350 series Wireless LAN Adapter) is very fast. Many people claim that you don't need an anti-virus program to protect your Jornada 820, but this is not correct. You CAN get bugs from surfing the Internet. (Unfortunately, I am not aware of an anti-virus program suitable for the Jornada 820.) If you do encounter a problem, you will need to do a hard-reset.

I've owned about four of these over the years in various used condition (purchased them used from eBay), all with the 32MB RAM upgrade installed, and I still use one of them currently. The only physical problem is that the supporting lid hinge would eventually come loose or break away (always on the right side of the laptop), even though I really try to be gentle on the unit. It still happens after a while if you keep using the machine. Another problem buying a much used unit is that the screen tends to be a bit spotty or blotchy (uneven shadows looks like as if someone smeared it with a cloth or pressed on it too hard). And there can be a little light-bleeding around the edges too. You can really see this when the unit is turned on and you have set a black desktop background color on the screen. But if you can find a really good one (near new condition), you won't have any of these issues with the screen image. Also, the screen is not very bright for outdoors (but more than sufficiently bright indoors).

Other than that, the Jornada 820 is an incredibly great mini laptop with the best keyboard I have ever used (even after years of use, the white bold characters printed on the keys don't wear off at all). It is a very solid, very well constructed, sturdy laptop. Very reliable; you don't get the strange temperament as with "normal" Windows laptops the Jornada 820 always behaves the same; no blue-screen problems here, or applications hanging up with no response. And if ever something does go wrong, it is very easy and quick to either soft or hard reset the unit (if hard-resetting, save your data first and hard-reset only if you want to put everything back to original factory settings). Another plus: your PocketOutlook (i.e., Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, etc.) on the Jornada 820 can be easily synchronized with your desktop's Outlook (using ActiveSync 3.8).

If you like reading books on your mini-laptop, Mobipocket.com has a compatible reader (and lots of books available) for the Jornada 820. Reading printed text on this unit is very easy because the font type and size is adjustable (both in the laptop and also in the Mobipocket reader software).

Why did I give it a 5-Star rating with all the concerns I've listed above? Well, because it is still a fantastic mini laptop and very satisfying to own and use one on a day to day basis. The Standard Rechargeable Battery, even after many years of use, still lasts around six hours. And with the High Capacity Battery, you get OVER ten hours of use on a single charge, and it is the SAME size as the Standard Battery (i.e., it doesn't stick out of the unit in the back or anywhere else)! It is also great to take notes on at a conference, while the Jornada is sitting on your lap or on a table/desk.

I sure wish I could get my hands on a brand new unit!

Ok, let me start off by saying that while this is 'supposed' to be a palmtop unit. It is definitely about the size of a netbook. For those of you who don't know what that is. A netbook is a mini-laptop computer about the size of a big book or sheet of paper.

Now, this computer uses Windows CE, NOT ME, XP, Vista, 2000, or any other big operating system you are used to on a regular desktop. So don't go expecting to put your desktop software on it. It won't work. That said, it is a really simple, almost trimmed down version of 98 or XP.

There is a good bunch of programs and games you can download for the machine. You can even download software so that you can play both music and video on it! Music will play just fine, and video is 'ok' but that really depends on the player I think. I have heard of people playing very old games on this machine like Doom 1 or Quake 1, or even Duke Nukem. Just remember this machine does not have a dedicated 3D chip in it. I think people have told me that Linux runs just fine on here and as such, you can run games through the Linux emulators that way. You will probably have to do some googling to find such stuff though.

The built-in software does exactly what it is advertised to do. The MS Office software is dated (by today's standards as it was made around the time of Office 98/2000) but if you keep in mind that it wasn't made to have all the bells and whistles as a full-sized pc (or netbook for that matter which are actual pc's made mini) it will never fail you. The software is very stable and unless you use up all the memory, hard to crash. The programs boot up fast (within a 1-2 secs) and shut down just as fast. There are key buttons at the top row of the keyboard that allow you to boot up any of the office programs and more! (Such as Internet Explorer (version 4 I believe) an email program(Outlook), recorder that uses the built-in mic, and lastly a button that calls up settings/memory/password)

Just like Windows on your PC, it comes with Solitaire built in. It has some useful programs such as "Calendar" which has alarms of various but simple kind. It gets pretty loud just to warn you if you crank up the volume. Also, on the cover of the unit, there is a small light that when one of your alarms go off (audible or not, there is that option) will flash until you A) Press it down which turns off the flashing or B) open the lid and turn it off by canceling it that way as well.

Since it has a built-in 56k modem (Sorry, no wi-fi... before that time) it also has software for connecting to network, terminals and yes, even faxing.

It has built-in accessories such as a calculator, inkwriter (not sure if all have this as it allows you to take visual notes and draw your notes with the touchpad), voice recorder, and a world clock.

There is Powerpoint on here but it is quite simplistic. Mainly used to make quick, easy stuff or for showing off ones already made via the use of the VGA port that it has in the back.

You can chose to print through a number of ways. One way is through the infrared port, a cable, network, or just upload it to a real PC and print from there(My preferred method).

There is NO hard drive so even if you drop this thing, you can't lose data on it. Think of it like dropping your usb flashdrive. Nothing will be lost. The only way you can lose data is if it loses power from both the main batteries AND the backup batteries (easily found and replaceable 2032 cell batteries. I found some at Walgreens just last week.) As for the main batteries, they last a really, really, really, really long time! They last like 10-12 hours on continuous run. Turned off, they will last like a couple of months. On the front of it by the Jornada name (which you can see when the lid is closed) is a small light that tells you the battery's status when you plug in the charging cord. Green=Fully charged(12-10 hours of battery, Yellow=not full (8-2 hours of battery left), Red=Really low!(2 OR LESS hours of battery, you would probably be getting battery alerts at this point on your screen)

If you really worry about losing your data, just buy yourself a compact flash memory card. There is a card slot for it on the right side of the computer. The left side has a standard pcmcia card slot which you can use for expanding it's capabilities and memory storage as well.

The touchpad is recessed but even still, if you're not careful you will find yourself touching it with your thumb every once in a while. The buttons are a soft-firm and audible clicks can be heard.

Now for the one thing I'm sure you're all wondering about. The screen. The colors are good and I think shows the usual thousands of colors you'd expect from your own monitor. The brightness is good for indoors or outdoors although I recommend that outdoors you don't try to "out-bright" the sun. Instead, use the sun's brightness FOR you by turning down the brightness. I think you'll be surprised at how well that works and it'll save you battery life.

The keyboard is about 78% of a full sized one but that didn't matter to me because they somehow made it easy enough for me to type fast with all 5 fingers with little more having to place my hands closer than usual. The arrow keys are fine and the PGUP,PGDN, HOME, END keys are easily available on it through the Alt key. My only gripe was that the backspace delete key was only 15% bigger than the rest of the keys. Still it wasn't hard to adjust once I was aware of it and even if I accidentally hit the On/Off button (since the backspace delete key was right below that button) all I had to do was hit the On key again and I was back in business. Hitting the On/Off key doesn't really turn off the machine. It just turns off the screen and puts what you were working on in 'standby' so you NEVER have to worry about losing your data just because you hit that button. Try doing *that* on a netbook or laptop. Impossible! Your data will always be available quickly as a press of the on/off button and you won't ever have to 'wait' for any booting up. In fact with a brand new computer, the longest thing you'll spend about it is probably either the personalization (which you can skip) or the battery charging for the first time use! :)

That just about covers it and I just want to say that this machine is very useful, extremely light(I've known books that were heavier), and tougher than it looks(though this is not permission to just treat it like a basketball either). I only took off one star for just one thing I didn't like. It didn't have mic in/headphone out ports so I couldn't hook up a better mic for recording OR headphones for private music/movie listening. Which I found odd since at least the Jornada 728 has headphone ports.

If you're going to be using this machine for writing novels with Word, scheduling, keeping track of your finances in Excel, or any of the other programs like Outlook, Access, Powerpoint or whatever you end up putting on here and want it to be something that can fit in your backpack/purse/folder... and want HUGE battery life that no laptop/netbook can offer you. This will be exactly what you want. :)

Well I cant say much that hasn't already been said....lol..... I can say that this is one fast CPU and for the cost It should be. The overclocking ability is very good and has very easy to use BIOS setting to accomplish overclocking for the new and technical advanced people. I takes on anything I throw at it without even a strain. I am usually a AMD man 100% when building a gaming unit. This was the first Intel I have purchased for a gaming build since 1993 & I don't regret the purchase. I remember when I was looking at this CPU and reading everyone else's comments about how Sandy was coming out soon and to hold out. I don't regret and I don't think Sandy lived up to i the hype in what I have seen from it. I have experienced both and I will stick with the I7

Spring Breeze 611R Portable USB Flower Fan Also Accepts Batteries for Handheld Use (USB Included)

Spring Breeze 611R Portable USB Flower Fan Also Accepts Batteries for Handheld UseThe pic doesn't do it justice. It's very cute and pretty. It folds up like a tulip when off and opens up when on. It moves a ton of air, much more than I expected. I turn it on when it's hot at work. It really cools me down.

This item is adorable; however, it completely died less than 5 minutes after being plugged in and is annoyingly loud. Not with the bother to return it, Just don't waste your money.

we were having an issue with the heat at work so i got this cute fan to sit by my computer and cool me off! little did i know it would be loud/noticable.. oh well.. still cute, but i haven't used it..

First off, this little flower is adorable. I'm not going to return it solely based on the fact that I love how cute it is. The only down side to this product is it is a little noisy. It's not loud, but it's buzzing is noticeable, and during my office quiet hours, I think it would be heard. I'm still going to bring it to work and maybe use it when it's not quiet hours. I love how it looks though! Just wish it was silent.

I think I read a review stating the product didn't last but I figured if the USB doesn't work I can use batteries. So I did and it worked slower on new batteries but worked just the same. For some reason though it just died and never turned back on no matter what I did. It's a nice stationary piece of art collecting dust now. :(

Kodak PlaySport HD Waterproof Pocket Video Camera 2 Item Travel Bundle: Micro USB to USB Cable (3 Fe

Kodak PlaySport HD Waterproof Pocket Video Camera 2 Item Travel Bundle: Micro USB to USB Cable and Wall Charger with Carabiner Key Chain
  • The USB 2.0 cable is great for charging or to transfer data.
  • The pocket sized, lightweight wall and travel charger works with voltage 100V - 240V.
  • The handy Gizmo Dorks key chain provides a quick and efficient way to hook and unhook keys quickly.
  • This purchase includes a USB Cable, wall charger, key chain

Leading out with the bad news, the first USB cable and wall charger I received did not work, but instead of dumping a bad review on Gizmo Dorks, I sent them an email through Amazon. Gizmo D. responded very quickly and sent me a new USB cable and wall charger that works just fine (No charge? No charge...for a replacement). The problem with the first shipment, I believe, was a bad USB cable (not designed for both data transfer and charging). It was a bit of a hassle, but considering that Kodak charges $24.99 for the USB cable sans wall charger, it was a stupendous deal. I recommend Gizmo Dorks...great seller. And actually, I use the little blue carabiner too...slather some more icing on my cake please!

JAVOedge Poppy Book Case with Multi-Angle Stand for the Amazon Kindle Fire (Sky Blue) Latest Generat

JAVOedge Poppy Book Case with Multi-Angle Stand for the Amazon Kindle Fire Latest Generation
  • Specifically built for the Kindle Fire
  • Coated canvas material makes cleaning up the case safe and easy
  • Pockets that are lined in the interior provide storage room for essential on-the-go documents
  • Cutouts in the design allow access to all of the device features

It keeps my Kindle Fire safe and covered. It's well-made and pretty good quality, aesthetically speaking. It's definitely worth the money, and I like it quite a bit. I basically just needed a cover to keep dust off of my Kindle. It serves no other protection purpose, however.

One complaint about the design: It does not function well as a stand. It doesn't allow the Kindle to sit upright at all, as it shows in the picture. Other than that, I like the case overall and it's a great value for the product.

2.4g Wireless Handheld Keyboard Mini Wireless Keyboard Touchpad for Htpc New Qwerty Layout with Mult

2.4g Wireless Handheld Keyboard Mini Wireless Keyboard Touchpad for Htpc New Qwerty Layout with Multi-touch &ampI ordered 2 of these and they are the worst product in this class (wireless minikeyboards) I have seen to date.

(a) The wireless range is incredibly short (~6ft) for both items.

(b) The laser pointer:

(i) The included laser pointer on one item does not work at all.

(ii) For my 2nd item the laser emitter is mounted at an angle which makes the emitted laser beam not aligned with the keyboard; making it VERY difficult to function usefully as a pointer.

(c) These items are supposed to function as a combination keyboard/mouse. After using the device for sometime the keyboard functionality stops and only the mouse functions will work. To fix it one must go to the computer and physically remove the wireless dongle and re-insert it. This is at best ad-hoc functionality for this device.

(d) On top of all the difficulties above, I had to wait 1 month for this product to arrive from HongKong.

Ridiculuous -avoid this product like the plague.

I have another similar keyboard that does not suffer from any of these shortcomings ZW-5100S. I don't see this product on Amazon.com anymore but it is identical in appearance to the Rii Portable 2.4GHz mini keyboard shown online these days (3/6/2011).

--andrew

This keyboard works flawlessly. I only have two gripes, but they are relatively minor.

1) The wireless dongle has a cap to it, that is needed to put the receiver back in the holding slot in the keyboard. The previous model did not work this way, it was all one piece.

2) There is no way to use a combonation of the Fn keys and a modifier. For example, [SHIFT] + DEL or [ALT] + F4 are not possible with this keyboard.

Otherwise this keyboard is great! I've used it successfully 25' to 30' away from the receiver, with only an occasional hiccup. It takes a little practice to operate the touchpad with your thumb. Once you get used to it, it's very responsive.

The seller got the unit out the door pretty quickly, and while I had no direct contact, I was pleased buying from them.

KOMPUTERBAY 16GB microSD microSDHC Flash Memory Card with N111 USB 2.0 Reader and SD Adapter - Ultra

KOMPUTERBAY 16GB microSD microSDHC Flash Memory Card with N111 USB 2.0 Reader and SD Adapter - Ultra High Speed Class 6The first thing I did was a properties on the card. It formats out to 29.7Gb under FAT32. That's normal. Using ATTO Disk Benchmark it had write transfer rates on average below 6MB/s and read rates on average around 12MB/s. When performing a disk capacity benchmark using H2test on the card, it had a sustained write speed of 5.35MB/s and sustained read speeds of 12.6MB/s. This card performed more on the lines of a class 4 card, not a class 6. It had no errors so it is a genuine 32GB card. I have a SanDisk microSDHC 16Gb, class 2 that has sustained write speeds of over 10MB/s and sustained read speeds over 18MB/s (I know, impressive for a class 2 card. SanDisk is modest when it comes to class speeds.) All in all I would not buy this card again if given the opportunity to do so. I would just settle for a SanDisk 32Gb class 2 microSDHC card as it appears that it will outperform this generic card. If this is the competition that SanDisk has, they need not worry. I have not decided whether I wish to send this card back or not. Video preview included.

I purchased this card in September 2010 and used it for two months in an HTC HD2 Windows Mobile phone. The size upgrade over the stock 16G card that came with the phone was well worth it to me, as I have hundreds of large (300M+) WMA/MP3 audio files and Audible audio books. Overall system performance was (subjectively) equivalent to the stock 16G card, and with twice the space as well.

In December I got a Samsung Focus Windows Phone. I used it for a week to get a feel for how it performs with only built-in storage (8G). I then moved my 32G card from the HD2 into the Focus (after saving my data and formatting the card, of course). Two weeks later I can say that the performance of the Focus is just as good as before. Side-by-side tests with another Focus launching apps and songs show startup times to be nearly identical. If you have a Focus and have been considering getting an internal MicroSDHC card, but have been concerned about compatibility, I can say that in my case it has been flawless.

Congratulations Komputerbay for your honesty and integrity!

I admit when I saw their Amazon advertisement for a New 16-Gbyte Class-6 micro-SDHC Memory Card for just $42 including shipping, I was reluctant to believe it. After all, if it really ran a little slower than advertised, who would know?

I would!

As soon as I received it I put it to my tests:

First I tested their advertised capacity (which Windows also reported) to be certain it was a REAL capacity. (It is possible for a seller to `spoof' capacity and trick Windows to report a capacity 4X higher than it really is.)

Result: 16 Gbytes of data files were copied to this micro-sdhc card and verified. Great!

Next, to test their speed claim of "Class 6":

The `Class' speed rating is a WRITE speed rating. (The Read speed is typically even faster.) Class 6 indicates a WRITE speed of at least 6 Mbytes per second. I use the free memory card testing program, "H2TestW" v1.4, freely available over the internet.

Result: For this memory card, H2TestW reported a Write speed of 7.7 Mbytes per second (and a Read speed of 11.2 Mbytes per second). So Komputerbay's claims are true!

What a nice deal!

This order comes with an sdhc adapter (which I used in the tests). It also comes with a micro-sdhc reader, but mine did not work; However its' monetary value is so small I won't give Komputerbay demerits for that. I'm just happy the memory card tests as-advertised.

Side Note (to Amazon): I noticed that one of the ratings attributes is simply "SPEED". This could be unfortunate for Amazon's advertised Class 2 memory cards because someone might rate that poorly just because it is not as fast as Class 6, when in fact the product may perform just as-advertised.

Recommendation: That attribute should be renamed, e.g., "SPEED (as advertised)"

Finally, a tip to buyers: I learned the hard way that it is better to buy micro-sdhc cards rather than standard sdhc especially for an expensive one. I once bought an 8-GB sdhc card and eventually the tiny moveable `write-protect' tab fell out leaving me with an 8-Gig card that can be written to but not ever erased. However, buying instead a micro-sdhc would be safer because there are no moving parts, and so you can use any sdhc adapter (which has a write protect tab). So if an adapter ever goes bad, only it needs to be replaced (for about a buck).

Edited Review:

I had originally not seen the speed from this microSD card that I was expecting. The included SD card adapter was completely useless. However, after using another adapter sold with a Transcend Micro class 6 card (which verified with class 6 speeds) I was only getting Class 1 (5&6MB/sec) speeds with a Sandisk and Transcend microSD Class6 cards(both 8GB). I had concluded that the Komputerbay 32GB module was slow.

I'm editing my original review because after I tested a USB connection to my phone (T-Mobile G2) the Komputerbay 32GB Class6 card was performing perfectly. I have moved over several medium sized movies(450MB-1.1GB), each of which was getting more than 6 MB/sec. I've amended my review to reflect the difference for performance in the phone versus using the included adapter or another SD card adapter.

Please keep in mind the Class rating is supposed to be a rating of minimum speeds to be attained with transfers to (and from) the card. The numbers and times you get can be variable depending on what you're transferring and how many files are in your transfer group. Your mileage _will_ vary.

Thank you for reading.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

The memory card registers correctly at 32 GB of space however the maximum transfer rates were around 1.3 MB a second. The included SD card adapter didn't even work and ended up not even being detectable by the OS (Windows 7 and Vista). Once the card was in another adapter the card was detected by the computer, however it was still slow in comparison to my other class 6 cards (5+MB/sec). I'm currently using it in my G2 just for testing, however I would recommend for users who need speed not space to get one of the other 16GB Class 6 cards instead.

A-DATA 16 GB Class 6 microSDHC Flash Memory Card AUSDH16GCL6-RA1

Of course I just tested one of these, but I'm not going to spend any more cash just to test the product.

Great if you need space. Horrible if you need performance.

Just barly got this card. I transfered data using the provide sd card adapter to my computer it averaged 12 MBs per second and from my computer is 7.9 MBs per seconds on average. Using the usb adapter to my computer averaged 10 MBs per second and from my computer is 5.6 MBs per second. The usb adapter has a orange led light and a cap for the adapter. I am using it mainly for my HTC Evo 4G which is formated at FAT32, it's allocation size is 32 kilobytes, and it has 14.9 GB usable for my phone. I transfered data from my phone to my computer and it averaged 3.8 MBs per second and from my PC to my phone is 3 MBs per second on average. I will post any probs if they occur with the card.

I'll be the first one to admit my old Motorola Q is in it's golden years. Harder to find quality pieces, and especially in my black colors. But, they had it, in stock, and brand new.

Phone running perfectly, again, and with a black cover. All that, without mentioning how much I saved on the price. Order with confidence, and enjoy.

After Verizon had no clue, I found my battery solution on line. And I wouldn't have thought of getting the new battery cover so I appreciate the bundle. Not as strong as my original long-life battery, but much better than a dead one. And so much cheaper than a new phone.

Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 for Business

Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 for Business
  • Blue Track Technology - Works on more surfaces than optical or laser technology.
  • Nano Transceiver - Leave it plugged in your notebook when you're on the go. The mouse has its own on/off switch.
  • Up to 8 months battery life - Power status indicator lets you know when your battery runs low.
  • Comfort - Designed by ergonomic experts for comfort in either hand.

Wow! I had a 3 year old Microsoft mouse that worked great, but the USB transceiver was a real pain mainly because

of the length of the thing. I broke one of my USB ports when I accidentally banged into the thing one day and on

a laptop one can ill afford to lose a USB connector right?

Anyway, the transceiver on this unit is tiny, it only sticks out maybe a 1/4 of an inch so there's no probability

of you damaging your machine by accident. And, it is extremely responsive, even more than the older design. The

drivers loaded automatically in Windows 7 and I'm back in bidness. Both left and right buttons work as they should,

and the "click" scroll is perfect. Battery life is extended too with an On/Off switch. Works practically on any

surface, the laptop frame, the couch, your jeans! The transceiver does snap into the body of the mouse for travel,

and the only minor complaint I have is that the mouse doesn't turn itself off when the transceiver is nested, you

still have to manually flip the switch to Off. No big deal. And what the heck is Bluetrack? Basically its a broader

optical beam than either laser or optical, works on more surfaces (but not glass), and there is ZERO lag, meaning

its just as responsive if not more so than laser. Don't confuse this with Bluetooth, they are not related.

One word of advice, if you fail to turn off this mouse when not in use it tends to go through batteries like Vegas

hookers through a Shriner's Convention..... always always flip the switch Off when your machine is idle. And it pays

to use a Lithium battery (1) for extended life. Microsoft deserves a slap for claiming "up to 8 month" battery life

(-1 Star) in the product info above. I'm getting about 6-8 weeks on a lithium battery under constant use so I'm

pretty happy.

This 3500 appears to be Microsoft's most reliable mouse. In surveying other reviews I've found the 4000/5000/6000

models all appear to have a problem with the USB transceiver. I don't know if Microsoft has fixed that problem on

those other designs, but you wont find that complaint for the 3500.

Update 7/12/2011: This mouse still works perfectly and is just as responsive as it was on Day 1. It doesn't "squeak",

the mouse clicks are barely audible, but you may find that the rubber casing begins to peel away from the plastic body over time, this is easily remedied with a drop or two of Superglue. This doesn't affect comfort or performance of the mouse. And the scroll wheel is still 100% intact and works as it should, I did note problems with the wheel on the aforementioned 4000-6000 models.

Final Update 6/23/2012: Well, it lasted 2 years. Yesterday I started having a strange problem, any window I had open would skip and jump around erratically. I tried everything, ran all the scans, did 2 System Restores, then finally doing a search on my iPhone for what could be causing the problem, somebody suggested unplugging the mouse. BAM, that did the trick. Then I replaced the battery, reinstalled the Intellipoint drivers, but still when I plugged it back in, more and more pages were skipping.

So, I solved the problem by installing a 4 year old Logitech laser mouse...yep, that did the trick. I'm guessing I suffered the dreaded "fried transceiver" problem I've read about with the family of Microsoft mice, but I did get 2 full years out of the thing, not bad for a $20 travel mouse. Yeah, I'll buy another one, this Logitech is too big to haul around in my laptop case.

Buy Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 for Business Now

This mouse replaced a retractable corded USB "travel" mouse. It was small and basic and worked quite well for years but finally died. I wanted a small cordless mouse to replace it so I surfed Amazon and found this one. The Logitech's were nice but I like that the USB receiver dongle is small. Most others are as big as a flash drive increasing the chances of it getting broken off.

So far it does seem to work well on a variety of surfaces. It works on my laptop table of course but I've also used it on the fabric chair arm and it worked just fine.

Two other nice features are the off switch and the dongle fits in the bottom of the mouse. All in one package for ease in travel. The mouse is also just the right size, not too big or small and reasonably comfortable. After a month or so I'm quite happy with it.

Read Best Reviews of Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 for Business Here

This is the only Microsoft mouse with BlueTrack and a click motion wheel. The mouse is very responsive and has a good feel. Battery life should be good as well.

I had stopped purchasing Microsoft mice because all the new mice had smooth scrolling wheels. The wheel design is a weakness on Microsoft mice. Logitech has a much better wheel design both smooth and click motion. The click wheel is a little stiff on this mouse. If it loosens up after some use, this will be the best value small form factor wireless mouse available.

Want Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 for Business Discount?

I have used a wireless mouse for the past five years and I didn't expect to get excited with my most recent replacement.

I received this mouse today, popped in the included battery and plugged in the tiny USB remote and I'm off and running. The mouse is the standard size maybe slightly smaller than a wired mouse as long as a deck of cards and about 1.25" at the thickest part under your palm. The roller is grippy so that you don't need to press down to create enough resistance to roll it. The bottom must be treated with some type of surface Teflon that reduces friction because it glides effortlessly across the surface! I use a gel wrist pad with a mouse "mat" and it works great on that (even through the translucent gel which seems to mess up some IR devices).

It may be just because I had to go a week without a mouse but this little guy totally made my day! I am impressed!

Save 33% Off

I love this mouse. It's small, making it very portable without sacrificing useability. The USB receiver is tiny too, so there is no need to remove it from your computer when you pack up your laptop. Battery life is incredible (thanks to an on-off switch). And the mouse works very very well.

I'm without a doubt a satisfied customer.

Toshiba 8GB High Speed SDHC Memory Card

Toshiba 8GB High Speed SDHC Memory Card(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)This memory card is compatible only with devices (usually cameras) that can use SDHC, a relatively new high capacity memory card that greatly increases the storage space without changing the size of the card from the maximum 2 GB of regular SD cards. Check your camera/device to make sure you can use this before you spend the money. Otherwise, you'll have to settle for 2GB of SD memory. This card holds tons of 10MP photos -my camera lists 2000 photos at 9 megapixels, but I've never been able to max it out. If you really use a lot of memory, you may want to consider the pricier (and twice as large) Toshiba SDHC Memory Card 16GB.

Consumers should shop around for the best price in 8GB SDHC cards since one manufacturer doesn't necessary create a better card than another and since prices often change. As long as you stick with known brands and reputable dealers, you should not have any problems.

After trying several cards; I was fortunate enough to bought this card. This card is very good if you want to drive dual widescreen monitors under vista. It easily scales 1680X1050 on both the monitors. The best part is it uses regular PCI slot and hence it can be installed on any PC that is upto 5 years old.

You just need DVD-I cable to connect to monitors. Don't use the regular VGA cable, VGA cable through DVI-D convertor doesn't produce sharp picture. The issue is with the monitors; not the video card.

This product arrived within days of its ordering via free shipping...yay! I popped in the accompanying CD, clicked on the link to update drivers, and downloaded the latest from the Radeon website. I swapped out the pre-installed short-form bracket for the standard size one provided in the box and the installation then took about five minutes. I am happy to report that I have achieved my main objective--increasing my screen resolution to the native 1920x1080 of a new 21.5" LCD monitor--and a bonus is that the DVI image quality seems a bit improved over the prior VGA signal.

Bought in a rush at China-mart, to help a Chinamart-E-machines used for biz documents only to run a better display? It probably does work for adding multiple monitors on "some" systems, but as we found out, and as reported throughout the review sites, if you need a "primary" card, this is a big waste of money. I didn't think the reviews could be telling the truth when they reported it actually slowed some machines down, but that's exactly what it did to ours. For the money, it's crazy not to get anything else. . . If you have a PCI-E (express) slot, you can get a card for half the money with 2-4 times the memory and a better chip right here on Amazon~~~
