I used the 5901 for a couple of years and really missed the scroll function. This has it built in and very convenient. The form factor is very good. The multi-media play, pause, and volume keys work w/ the usual suspects. Apple of course doesn't play well w/ others. I often use amazon unbox player so that works perfectly.Picked this up for use with my TV and attached systems. Unfortunately the remote does not have any way to access F1-F12 keys. These are essential for use with Panasonic TVs so the remote is useless as a smart remote for a TV. However for those with a PC attached to the TV, you should be able to use it. I find the input is quick and the mouse and scroll strip very responsive. The keypad looks like it was exported from an Xbox chatpad and the back light is a welcome feature. But not having F1-F12 kills it for the millions of smart TV owners wanting a good remote with keyboard functionality
