If this battery last as long as the original battery on my Kindle, I will be more than amazed. I see no reason to buy a new Kindle when this one does what I want. That is to download books for me to read. No problem with that!!! My husband's second generation Kindle is not as durable as my first generation. Sorry about that. I don't think a battery will help him.

While the battery delivery was very good, the battery life was very poor. Maybe 5 hours, but more likely closer to 2. i actually had ordered 2 of them and both performed poorly. The original battery that came with the Kindle was good for at least 30 hours, but these replacements are not even close.

The battery really lasts a long time. The service is great, received it immediately. I always take an extra battery when I travel, just in case, because there is no warning when it may go.

The wire on the battery pulled out after I installed it in the Kindle. Then it was so tight into the Kindle it was very hard to remove. Someone had to use a needle nose pliers to remove it. Amazon customer service person was very gracious in helping me return the product. I purchased a new battery from a battery store and they installed it.
