Does NOT work as advertised. Description says it has a 2700mAh battery that will add hours and hours to the iPhone.... No!

Charged fully before use; it was only able to charge my iPhone 4 to 60%. And the iPhone 4 has a 1420mAh battery. So in teory I should get 1.7-1.9 times the iPhone 4 charged from this battery. But it does not even do it once!!!

I really wanted to like this product. Build quality was good, and it worked well to the level it did. But such shabby performace is not worth it!

Very disappointing! I will be returning this ASAP....

+++ EDIT.... The product itself is marked as 2200mAh; while Amazon sels it as 2700mAh. Still underperforms for even 2200mAh.... but Amazon should fix their description!!

The support staff at iLuv told me the device comes with no instructions since it's so simple to use. Clearly I am a simpleton because the device seems to be worthless and I'll be returning it shortly.

Based on the connectors, you might assume that you can charge your phone and the iLuv battery at the same time. Based on my experience, neither device will charge. There is a series of LEDs that presumably show battery remaining but sometimes they just blink. Sometimes they are steady. It's lovely to look at but without instructions, it's left up to you to decide what it really means. I for one, have no clue. After charging all night, I had all LEDs lit and tossed the iLuv battery in my pocket and went out for the day. As my phone started dying, I pulled out the iLuv device to find out that there was no charge at all and no lovely blue LEDs. It's a mystery how it went from full charge to no charge without being used. The previous day, the iLuv worked correctly so I must assume that the device is unreliable.

The device is lovely, fits comfortably in a pocket or computer bag and is the perfect device for those who want a nice sleek case, lovely blue LEDs, no instructions and a device that doesn't work exceptionally well.

product not true to its battery life time. followed instructions carefully and only got 8 hours of juice from general use. (being energy efficient by lowering LCD light and volume and wifi)

This product does exactly what it says . . . it provides extra power for our iPad on a long plane trip. It's good to have standby power.
