I recently have been reading about how the Core i7 Second Generation L502X can accept the 8 GB DDR3 modules. I was curious and excited, but my Dell XPS 15 kept on saying (via the Dell site) to only support maximum of 8 GB (24 GB modules). I kept reading only of people saying it would work.. and I am happy to say it does. I had 6 GB (1 2GB module and 1 4GB Module). I replaced the 2 GB module with this Corsair 8 GB module and everything works perfectly. I have Windows 7 Home Premium and it correctly recognizes 12 GB of memory.

Installing it was a breeze and it everything booted perfectly. The real great feature (for me) is to open some really big files and know I have plenty of memory left (ie Premier or Photoshop). If you want more more memory, I would recommend this memory. Also, if you did not believe that the 8 GB modules were compatible with the XPs 15 i7 Core (2nd Generation)...well they are.. just remember to flash your BIOS to the current version first....

Enjoy!! works great!

The Apple specifications for my MacBook Pro with an intel 2.7 GHz i7 processor say the most RAM you can put in is 8 GB. WRONG! I took a chance and ordered to of these memory modules and now my reports 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3. Now you only need this upgrade if you run LOTS of applications at the same time or are processing video, high resolution photos or a power user. If you are browsing the web, answering emails and doing some word processing, save your money. But if you are in the need for more RAM in your MacBook Pro and think 8GB is your limit -THINK AGAIN!

Purchased two of these for my Macbook Pro late 2011. They arrived very fast, did not expect such fast free shipping. Installed them as soon as I got them . Error free and giving my laptop a huge boost.
