Uses low-capacity AAA batteries, not AA batteries as adverstised. Has 10" audio cord with standard stereo plug and on/off switch, no volume control. Does not pass through the audio when the switch is off. Works fine as a monitor for my TASCAM DP-008 8-Track Digital Portastudio, but I would have passed on this if the correct battery size was given. Amazon bears exclusive blame for the mix-up.
